SEOUL FOOD

Octopus pizza, impressively accompanied by handmade steamed dumplings, a bowl of kimchi and a large ice-cold Korean beer. The 2-a.m. breakfast of champions, or at least of two jet-lagged travelers in the wee hours of this morning.

We had 16 hours to burn in Seoul, and naturally, we'd done no advanced planning on what to see or do. Luckily, a friend of a friend (thanks, Abby) directed us downtown to the night markets around Dongdaemun, and that was all we needed.

While we can't say we totally 'did' Korea, we did do serious damage to that tasty octopus and an unidentified pork (or maybe it was fish or chicken) soup.

Catching flight to Manila shortly.
